In his career, Dr. Mitchell Blum has performed more than 2,500 Facelift surgeries, 2,000 Rhinoplasty ('nose job") procedures, 1,500 Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) operations, 1,000 Brow Lift surgeries, 2,500 Laser Skin Resurfacing and Chemical Peel procedures, and 2,500 Botox and Dermal Filler procedures.
Dr. Mitchell Blum received his Undergraduate Degree from Franklin and Marshall College in Pennsylvania. He went on to receive his medical degree from Hahnemann University. He completed his surgical residency at Allentown Hospital, also in Pennsylvania. Dr. Blum then moved to Washington Hospital Center, in Washington D.C. to complete his additional residency training in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
An officer of the United States Air Force, Dr. Mitchell Blum was appointed Chief of Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose and Throat) at the U.S. Air Force Hospital at California's Mather Air Force Base. Dr. Blum also served as an Associate Clinical Professor at U.C. Davis Medical Center.
As a former National Ski Patroller, Dr. Blum is still an avid skier. He also loves to sail and play tennis. Dr. Mitchell Blum is very active in community healthcare improvement with the San Juan School District Health Advisory Board, the Rotary Club, and his local Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Blum is also an advocate for domestic violence prevention. Working with victims of domestic violence, he helps those severely affected by this scourge. Reconstructing young children’s faces completely alters both the quality and trajectory of their lives.
